Privacy

This site is run by Shamayim Ltd, the publisher of The Book of Sober. We keep the information we collect to a minimum.

The starter pack sign-up form

The starter pack page asks for your email address, and optionally your first name, with a tick-box to agree to emails. When you submit it:

• your details are stored as a contact with our website provider, Wix, which hosts this site and processes the data on our behalf;
• we use them only to give you the starter pack and to send occasional emails from The Book of Sober;
• we never sell your details or share them with anyone else for marketing;
• you can unsubscribe at any time, using the link in any email or by emailing thebookofsober@gmail.com;
• you can ask us to see, correct or delete your details at any time by emailing the same address.

Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box. You can withdraw it at any time.

Everything else

• The calculators run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type into them is sent to us.
• The sign-up form stores a short-lived anonymous visitor token in your browser’s local storage so it can talk to Wix. It doesn’t identify you.
• Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google’s servers to fetch them.
• Like any web host, Wix may process technical information such as your IP address to deliver and secure the site.
• Links to other organisations’ websites are covered by their own privacy policies.

Questions? Email thebookofsober@gmail.com. If you’re in the UK and unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can contact the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
